What is health coaching?
I like to compare health coaches to personal trainers. You already know you need to exercise to lose weight and be healthy, but when it comes time to go to the gym you might not know what to do or where to start. So you start by working with a personal trainer. I will do the same thing for you but about nutrition. You want to lose weight, you want to improve your health, but you don't know HOW. I am here to be your teacher, your guide, your motivator, and your accountability partner.
What is the difference between a nutritionist and a health coach?
When you see a nutritionist, you talk to them about what health goals, and they create an eating plan for you. You often leave their office with instruction on what to do and you might never see them again. It is up to you to follow those guidelines if you want to see result. For some people this system works great; however, for many others they need a bit more.
That's where I come in. I am not just telling you what to eat. I am teaching you how to transform your health. Growing up you learned everything from math to science, but you were never taught how to stay healthy. My program guides you through a health course like structure. By the end of the program, my goal is for you to have all the tools to continue taking your health to the next level. It will be fun and empowering.

How does the program work?
This is an one-on-one 5 months health coaching program. We will start with your initial health history consultation, which is a free session I offer my potential clients before they sign up. Once we are all set to start, we will meet twice a month for a total of 10 sessions. Our sessions are 1 hour long (see sessions outline below). All session are done through phone/Skype/FaceTime; however, clients living in Miami have the option for in-person sessions.
You will leave each session with brand new knowledge from that day's session, plus recommendations for you to try out and put into practice until our next session. After each session, you will receive a "session recap" email from me, plus 24/7 email support throughout your program. During our sessions, I will empower your growth and transformation with handouts, books, audiobooks, documentary and movies recommendations, food samples, to name a few.

In person appointments are available on Thursdays from 9 am - 6 pm in Miami at one of the following locations: Dr. Smood South Miami, Dr. Smood Brickell, or Dr. Smood Wynwood.
Appointments must be rescheduled or canceled at least 48 hours (2 business days) prior to your session time. This can be done by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or using the cancel/reschedule link in your confirmation email.
